## The roleWe're a Shopify Platinum Partner agency, and we want to be the answer AI engines give when a founder asks "who should I hire to migrate my store to Shopify Plus?" You'll write the website content — service pages, blog, FAQ — engineered to get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews for the queries our buyers actually type.
You don't need to be an AI-search expert yet. You need to be a genuinely strong writer who understands ecommerce. We have the AEO strategy (target queries, content formats, topic map) — we'll teach you the optimization; you bring the writing.
## What you'll do- Write clear, authoritative website content: service pages, blog posts, FAQ entries- Structure content for AI citation — direct answers, specific numbers, named experience, clean formatting (we'll show you the patterns)- Turn our real work (migrations, builds, retention wins) into content that demonstrates expertise without pitching- Cover the buyer questions that matter: choosing a Shopify agency, migration realities, Plus for scaling brands, B2B/wholesale- Keep a consistent voice: calm, authoritative, plain-spoken — useful to a founder, never hypey
## What you need- Excellent writer — clear, structured, edits own work, zero fluff- Ecommerce fluency — you understand DTC/Shopify brands and the problems they face- Ability to write with authority on technical topics without overcomplicating- Reliable, self-directed, communicates cleanly async- Willing to learn AEO/GEO — curious about how AI search picks sources
## Nice to have- Prior SEO or content-marketing experience- Familiarity with Shopify specifically- Any exposure to AEO/GEO or how LLMs cite sources
## How this works- Part-time contract, remote, flexible hours- Starts with a defined content build (core pages + first blog/FAQ set), then reassess for ongoing- You'll work from our AEO strategy doc and brand voice guide — you're not starting from a blank page
