Control Engineer LLL

About the role

Littelfuse is a diversified industrial technology manufacturing company shaping solutions for the safe and efficient transfer of electrical energy. The Control Engineer III develops, maintains, and improves automation and control solutions for stable and efficient manufacturing operations. The role combines hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, process improvement, root cause analysis, and documentation management to enhance equipment reliability, process performance, and production quality.

The position works with cross-functional teams on automation projects, control system modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, variable frequency drives, servo systems, machine vision systems, industrial networks, and automated equipment.
• Develop, test, validate, and document control system modifications following plant standards and change management procedures.
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing scrap, downtime, process variation, and operational errors.
• Maintain updated backups of programs, machine parameters, recipes, and configurations to ensure equipment recoverability.
• Implement interlocks, alarms, poka-yokes, and traceability systems to protect critical product and process characteristics.
• Participate in root cause investigations and PFMEA.
