📃 Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Controller to join our expanding team, leading the month-end close process and ensuring accurate, high-quality financial reporting for our e-commerce clients.This role requires an accounting and finance professional who is adept at leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and provide insightful financial management. The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with hands-on financial management experience—including cash flow visibility, working capital analysis, and FP&A support—along with strong leadership skills and the executive presence to confidently partner with CFOs, founders, and clients.We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
✅ Key ResponsibilitiesLead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting by the 5th business day of each month.Support cash flow visibility and working capital analysis while partnering with CFOs on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.Build trusted relationships with clients, providing financial insights that support business decision-making.Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and technology to improve accounting and financial reporting processes.Design, standardize, and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and workflows across multiple clients.Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and technical guidance.Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and scalable financial processes.Maintain proactive communication with clients, CFOs, and internal teams to ensure exceptional service and collaboration.
🎓 Requirements5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Controllership roles.Strong background in accounting and finance, with a proven track record in financial management.CPA license.Strong knowledge of month-end close, financial reporting, FP&A, and US GAAP.Experience reporting directly to CFOs or CEOs.Experience with inventory accounting, ideally within manufacturing, CPG, or e-commerce environments.Experience building or improving accounting processes in fast-paced, high-growth companies.Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills, with the confidence to interact with executive stakeholders.Passion for technology, AI, and automation, with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
🌟 Nice to HavePrevious experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.Experience with QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based ERP systems.Experience working with multiple entities or client portfolios.Background in fintech or other high-growth industries.
