Controller

About the role

Monjasa is looking for a Controller to join its finance team in Panama. In an international, fast-paced trading environment, you will handle a broad range of accounting and controlling responsibilities, with a focus on financial accuracy, balance sheet management, inventory, reporting, and audit. You will work with colleagues across the business and Monjasa's international finance organization while developing your controlling expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own key accounting and controlling activities across the P&L and balance sheet.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Manage reconciliations and ensure financial data is accurate and reliable.
• Work with inventory, costing, and related financial controls in a transaction-heavy environment.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis to support the business.
• Support and coordinate audit activities.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Work hands-on in the ERP system and Excel.
• Review existing processes and help simplify and improve financial workflows.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues and stakeholders in Panama and across Monjasa's international organization.
