About the role
Zafco is hiring a Conveyor Belt Supervisor to oversee conveyor belt operations, installation, splicing and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach and create work plans for safe and efficient work on site.
- Coordinate conveyor belt maintenance and installation work according to site requirements.
- Manage teams and coordinate site activities.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in conveyor belt operations, installation, splicing, maintenance and supervision.
- Experience with steel cord and fabric conveyor belts.
- Knowledge of hot and cold vulcanizing, mechanical splicing, belt installation, tracking and repair work.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, tools, equipment, planning and quality control.
- Ability to read and coordinate conveyor belt maintenance and installation work according to site requirements.
- Leadership and team coordination experience, strong supervisory skills and a good understanding of industrial safety standards.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites. Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments is preferred.
