Job Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for an Export Department in Carolina, PR. The Export Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with clients and partners, ocean carriers, and airlines, while providing exceptional customer service. This role includes managing ocean and air exports, overseeing the export process, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical logistics standards and temperature-controlled shipments.
Duties
Coordinate and manage all aspects of the export process from order receipt to shipment, including pharmaceutical and temperature-sensitive cargo.Prepare and review export documentation to ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g., GDP, IATA guidelines).Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling, storage, and shipping of pharmaceutical products.Monitor and ensure integrity of temperature-controlled shipments throughout the export process.Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and managing shipments.Oversee picking and packing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and product integrity.Maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400 software.Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and order fulfillment.Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading shipments, ensuring compliance with safety standards.Assist in inventory control within the distribution center, ensuring proper handling of regulated pharmaceutical products and optimal stock levels.Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders regarding shipment status, compliance, and special handling requirements.
Qualifications
Export expertise, preferably in pharmaceutical or temperature-controlled logisticsStrong Communication and Customer Service skillsKnowledge of Ocean and Air Exports, including pharma logistics requirementsExperience in export processes and regulatory complianceAttention to detail and strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work well in a team environmentProficiency in relevant software and logistics toolsBackground in logistics, supply chain, or related fieldKnowledge of pharmaceutical handling standards (e.g., GDP, cold chain) is a plus
