Job descriptionThe role would involve supporting client primary analysts to arrive at / monitor credit ratings for issuers across various industries. Analysis would cover surveillance of a portfolio of companies as well as responding to market events that could potentially lead to a change in ratings.Analyze business performance, including:Industry dynamics and regulatory trendsEvaluating country and macroeconomic riskCompetitive and market positionStrategy / execution / management of the companiesTrends in profitability and peer comparisonsAnalyze financial performance, including:Understanding accounting standardsFinancial governance and policiesAnalysis of financial ratios and trendsLiquidity / short-term factorsUnderstanding the capital structure of companiesAssist the primary analyst(s) in the preparation of in-depth financial models – historical and projections.Prepare comprehensive internal credit research reports and notes covering the aforementioned operational and financial factors.Assist primary analyst(s) in preparing publishable credit reports.Strictly practice and follow all compliance, confidentiality and information security policies and procedures and related guidelines of the organization.

QualificationPrior experience in analysing company’s financial and operational performanceSharp analytical thought processUnderstanding of accounting and financial analysis and conceptsGood Microsoft excel skills.Good English oral and written communication skills.
