Corporate Security Consultant

About the role

SCR Recursos Humanos is hiring a full-time Corporate Security Consultant to assess corporate security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical mitigation strategies across systems, networks, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform security audits and risk assessments.
• Develop and update security policies and procedures, and support incident response activities.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders.
• Prepare clear security reports and presentations.
• Advise on regulatory and industry best-practice compliance.
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives and guide the implementation of security tools and controls.

Requirements

• Skills in security consulting, including risk assessment, security architecture review, and remediation plan development.
• Practical cybersecurity and information security expertise, including vulnerability management, incident response, and governance frameworks.
• Hands-on knowledge of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, VPNs, and secure network design.
• Application security skills, including secure software development practices, code review, and application vulnerability analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS, and experience implementing security controls in corporate environments.
• A relevant academic background, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are noted in the source.
