Country Manager

AVA are looking for a Country Manager for an IPP to lead their operations in Costa Rica
Operations & Project Delivery – Direct all in-country business activities to meet Company objectives; ensure power plants achieve commercial operations on time, on budget, and to spec; oversee O&M performance against KPIs, contract compliance, safety, environmental standards, and major maintenance/capex programs.Financial & Compliance Management – Own the country budget and financial performance, including cost control, variance reporting, and forecasting; verify all operating permits and ensure full compliance with local laws and regulations; supervise internal/external reporting.Stakeholder & Commercial Relations – Serve as the principal interface between customers, government bodies, and the Company; lead commercial negotiations on local agreements; resolve customer issues (billing, performance, outages); manage staffing and team-building for the country office.Business Development & Market Strategy – Drive market research, business development, and new project origination in line with Group strategy; build strategic relationships and new offices in the region; report on market/regulatory developments and pricing trends to inform investment decisions.
