About the role
ZF Group is seeking a Customs Clearance Specialist to support customs and regulatory compliance for import and export operations within the Distribution Center. The role supports smooth material flow while minimizing international trade risks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customs and regulatory compliance of goods movements and adherence to applicable EU and non-EU customs regulations.
- Manage customs clearance for import and export shipments.
- Prepare, review, and maintain customs documentation.
- Prepare and submit Intrastat reports on time.
- Ensure the accuracy of data used for customs and statistical purposes, including data in ERP systems such as SAP.
- Work closely with inbound and outbound teams.
- Identify customs process risks and propose mitigation actions.
Requirements
- Secondary or university education; logistics, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic exposure to WMS or ERP systems; academic projects, internships, or first job experience qualify.
- Demonstrable interest in AI tools such as Claude, GPT, Copilot, or Gemini, through practical use in studies, personal projects, or work.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Czech and English.
- Knowledge of EU or international trade customs regulations.
- Experience with import and export processes.
- Knowledge of Intrastat reporting and Incoterms.
- Understanding of HS codes and product classification.
