Data Analyst Specialist

About the role

ScotiaTech is looking for a Data Analyst Specialist to join a team focused on personal and professional growth. The role supports data engineering, transformation, integration and analytics for on-prem and later cloud environments, generating scalable data assets across international markets.

Responsibilities

• Participate in data engineering and transformation design to support scalable, extensible and performant solutions.
• Help coordinate the International Banking data engineering community, support training and onboarding of new users, and support implementation of data assets across international teams.
• Develop data integration and analytics solutions for on-prem and later cloud environments.
• Contribute as a member of an agile team, supporting consistent development practices, tools, common components and patterns.
• Collaborate with analytic teams to improve operating models and increase data platform reliability and stability in accordance with established engineering practices and automation.
• Contribute to data delivery for highly visible and critical bank projects.
• Collaborate with BI teams and set up data pipelines to PowerBI.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions, and support effective operations and business controls related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GCP, SQL, docker, airflow, git, Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficiency in PowerBI.
