What will you do?Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Participate in data engineering and transformation design to ensure highly scalable, extensible, and performant solutions.Collaborates in the coordination of the International Banking data engineering community; supporting training and onboarding of new users, and support the implementation of data assets across international teams .Hands on development supporting Data integration, Analytics and for On-prem and later Cloud environments, to generate scalable data assets across Scotiabank international marketsFunctions as a member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices, tools usage, common components, and patterns.Collaborates and supports analytic teams to proactively build and improve existing operating models, increasing reliability and stability of data platforms for end users in accordance with stablished engineering practices and automation.Contribute to data delivery for some of highly visible and critical projects across bankKnowledge with GCP, SQL, docker, airflow, git, Kubernetes , infrastructure-as-codeWorks in collaboration with BI teams, with proficiency in PowerBI and in setting up data pipelines to PowerBI.Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What do you need?2 years of experience as data analyst Technical Business Analyst.Excellent customer service, empathy and communications skills.Cloud computing knowledge, Data Quality and Governance is a plus.Knowledge with SQL, git, docker, airflow, infrastructure-as-code, spark (nice to have).AssetsExperience with Big Data and Cloud TechnologiesExperience with GitHub, JIRA, ConfluenceExperience working in Retail/Risk Banking Domain is an assetExperience working in an Agile team environmentKnowledge of MS Power BI (Data consumption)Proficiency with Big QueryHave a B2 level of English
