PURPOSE OF JOB: The Data Systems Analyst ensures the data and systems that power PriceSmart's supply chain planning platforms — including RELEX — operate reliably, accurately, and efficiently across the region. This role focuses on data quality, system performance, and integration health to enable accurate demand forecasting, replenishment, and allocation processes.You will analyze and troubleshoot data flows into and out of RELEX and related logistics systems, support root-cause analysis of data and integration issues, help safeguard data integrity, and assist in validating end-to-end changes in collaboration with IT and business teams.
This role partners closely with the Product Owner and business planning teams but does not own product roadmap or prioritization decisions. Over time, the role supports professional growth into more senior Data/Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or Data Engineering pathways, as functional and technical knowledge of the RELEX platform develops.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Stability & Support• Troubleshoot and resolve data and integration issues in RELEX and related supply chain/logistics systems (WMS, TMS, GTM, SCI, ERP).• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data feeding RELEX forecasting, replenishment, and allocation modules.• Validate data changes and interface mappings across environments and system integrations.• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issuesaffecting planning outcomes.Continuous Improvement• Analyze data quality issues and forecasting/replenishment pain points, and propose improvements to RELEX configuration, master data, or upstream data feeds.• Recommend automation and data validation routines to reduce manual data reconciliation and operational waste.• Configure, validate, and maintain RELEX parameters, business rules, andplanning settings.• Support testing and deployment of RELEX upgrades, enhancements, andnew functionalities.Cross-functional Collaboration• Partner with supply chain, operations, and product teams to clarify data and reporting needs, and validate that RELEX outputs meet business requirements.• Align data definitions and system behaviors with standard planning processes across regions.Knowledge Continuity• Document RELEX data flows, integrations, configurations, and SOPs to eliminate single-points-of-failure.• Support onboarding and cross-training of teammates on RELEX data structures and processes.• Translate business requirements into functional and technicalspecifications.Governance & Change Readiness• Ensure compliance with release standards, regression testing, and data validation checks for RELEX and related system changes.• Support decision forums for deployment timing and data/integration risk assessment.• Promote best practices for data governance and planning processes. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE Qualifications• 2-3 years of experience as a Systems/Data Analyst, ideally supporting supply chain planning, forecasting, or replenishment functions.• Hands-on experience with RELEX Solutions is required (demand forecasting, replenishment, allocation, or supply planning modules).• Strong analytical skills with SQL, data modeling, data flows, and integration debugging.• Familiarity with related logistics/supply chain systems (WMS, TMS, ERP, or SCI/GTM) and how they exchange data with RELEX.• English working proficiency required for cross-regional coordination.• Experience with data warehouse such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle,or PostgreSQL.• Understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations as Azure Data Factory• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics and automation is highlydesirable.• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project delivery.• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices supporting enterpriseapplications and data platforms. Success Metrics• Faster resolution of RELEX data and system incidents• Reduction of manual work via improvement proposals• Documentation completeness and shareability• Increased operational readiness and fewer rollout issues• Strong collaboration feedback from business users• Improve retail KPIs scores such as Forecast Accuracy, Service Level, FillRate, Inventory Turns, and Out-of-Stock rates.• Reduction in Data Quality Issues
