Deputy Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operation and execution of an ongoing project in Honduras.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on operational leader who enjoys working closely with teams, coordinating people and resources, solving problems, and ensuring services are delivered efficiently and according to established requirements. The role will work closely with the Site/Contract Manager and will provide operational leadership and support across the project, including assuming responsibility for day-to-day operations when required.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Site Contract Manager in the day-to-day execution and overall operation of the project.Coordinate daily operational activities, personnel, resources, subcontractors, and service providers.Supervise and support on-site teams to ensure activities are properly planned, coordinated, and executed.Monitor service delivery, schedules, quality, compliance, and operational performance.Ensure operational activities are carried out according to established requirements, procedures, and standards.Identify operational issues and coordinate timely solutions and corrective actions with the relevant teams.Support the coordination and allocation of personnel and resources based on changing operational requirements.Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.Work closely with the Site/Contract Manager to address operational priorities, challenges, and client requirements.Provide hands-on support to the operation and step in to lead day-to-day activities when required.Promote accountability, teamwork, safety, and a results-oriented working environment.Support the Site/Contract Manager with reporting, operational follow-up, and other project requirements.Act as the operational lead in the absence of the Site/Contract Manager, ensuring continuity of services and activities.

RequirementsPrevious experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role.Experience managing people, resources, subcontractors, vendors, or multiple services/activities simultaneously.Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic, hands-on environment.Comfortable managing changing priorities and responding to operational needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness and ability to work fully on-site in Soto Cano, Honduras.Fluent English — written and spoken.The interview process will be conducted in English. Candidates must be able to participate in interviews in English.
