Role Overview
We are looking for a Developer that can support the modernization of legacy Adobe ColdFusion/Lucee platform into a modern Golang-based microservices architecture. This role is ideal for a developer who is comfortable working in existing systems, understands legacy codebases, and is eager to help migrate functionality to scalable, maintainable Go services.
As a Developer, you will work alongside Senior Developers to gradually move business logic, APIs, and data access from ColdFusion to Golang, while ensuring system stability during the transition.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and enhance existing Adobe ColdFusion / Lucee applicationsAnalyze and understand legacy ColdFusion code, business logic, and data flowsAssist in migrating features from ColdFusion to Golang microservicesDevelop new backend services in GolangCollaborate on designing REST and gRPC APIsWork with MySQL and Oracle databases, including queries, schema understanding, and data migrationsRefactor legacy logic into clean, testable Go servicesWrite unit and integration tests for both legacy and new servicesSupport incremental rollout strategies (strangler pattern, feature toggles)Collaborate with Senior Developers on architecture, best practices, and migration strategyConduct code reviews and establish standards for development, component modularity, and documentation.
Technical Requirements & Experience2–4 years of backend development experiencePractical experience with Golang and microservicesSolid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and backend fundamentalsExperience working with relational databases (MySQL and/or Oracle)Ability to read, debug, and understand existing codebasesFamiliarity with version control systems (Git)Experience with Docker containersStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related fieldProven experience delivering production-grade, scalable applicationsExcellent English communication skills (verbal and written, 100% Bilingual preferred)
