DevOps Engineer

TCS is seeking an experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for supporting an important global customer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable, automated, and resilient cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Key Responsibilities

Manage source code repositories (SCM), including branching strategies and version control best practices.Design, develop, and maintain automation tools, integrations, microservices, and platform extensions.Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable deployments.Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources.Continuously improve automation processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.Upgrade and integrate DevOps tools while ensuring system reliability and scalability.Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability across environments.Collaborate closely with development, data, and platform teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.Promote and enforce DevOps and SRE best practices across teams.

Technical Requirements & Expertise

4+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE roles supporting large-scale platforms.Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.Experience monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale systems and Kubernetes platforms.Solid experience debugging Kubernetes configurations and managing services within Kubernetes clusters.Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP (Azure is a plus).Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages.Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar.Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries (MySQL or similar).Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills, including coordination, communication, and documentation of incidents.Ability to create and maintain runbooks and establish operational processes to support engineering and data teams.Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
