Role: Director of Horizontal Construction – Ultra-Luxury Master-Planned Community (1,000+ acres)Location: Puerto RicoSalary: US $180,000 - $200,000 + bonus + medical/dental/vision + benefits
A globally recognised Luxury Real Estate Developer are seeking to appoint a Director of Horizontal Construction to lead the construction and delivery of all horizontal infrastructure works for a multi-phase, ultra-luxury master-planned resort and residential community spanning over 1,000 acres. It will include a championship golf course, private club amenities, luxury hospitality, and world-class residential offerings within one of the Caribbean's most ambitious long-term developments.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead all horizontal construction activities, including roads, utilities, grading, drainage, earthworks and associated civil infrastructure.Manage contractors, consultants and site teams through all phases of construction.Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement and contract administration.Coordinate infrastructure delivery with vertical construction and wider development milestones.Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards.Resolve technical and construction challenges while maintaining programme objectives.Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on progress, risks and commercial performance.
RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.Extensive experience delivering horizontal infrastructure for large-scale master-planned, hospitality, residential or mixed-use developments.Proven leadership of major civil construction projects from mobilisation through completion.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts and project controls.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
