Director of Sales

About the role

Hyatt Place Santo Domingo Piantini is hiring an opening Director of Sales for its 2027 opening. The Director of Sales is a member of the property’s Executive Committee, with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership, and directly oversees the hotel’s Sales and Marketing operation. The role reports to the General Manager and Regional Vice President of Sales responsible for the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Sales and Marketing budget and P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, business plans, and ownership meetings.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability across key business segments.
• Lead sales components of annual business planning, budget development, revenue forecasting, and strategic market analysis.
• Set sales priorities and deployment strategies based on business needs, market conditions, and revenue opportunities.
• Identify emerging opportunities and trends and develop strategies to outperform competitive market conditions.
• Supervise sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff; recruit and hire sales staff.
• Train, manage, and coach sales managers in their selling process to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues.
• Train and monitor the group and transient contractual agreement process, including quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and managing retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts.

Requirements

• Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
• Communication and organizational skills are of the utmost importance.
