Job SummaryWe are looking for a Dispatcher to support Walmart delivery operations by coordinating communication between drivers, Walmart, and the dispatch team. This role is responsible for monitoring active routes, identifying delays and operational risks, maintaining constant communication with drivers, and coordinating solutions to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesContinuously monitor active routes to identify delays, stalled routes, unusual periods of inactivity, and potential risks to route completion.Maintain constant communication with drivers through assigned communication channels and respond promptly to urgent requests.Conduct proactive driver check-ins throughout the operating day and obtain accurate route status updates.Monitor driver loadout and early-route activities, including driver readiness, scanning, route activation, and package discrepancies.Monitor route progress and driver application activity to identify operational issues or discrepancies.Resolve driver issues related to customer access, unavailable customers, invalid addresses, gated locations, application issues, unsafe delivery conditions, and mechanical breakdowns.Monitor late-route risks and create or escalate action plans when route completion is at risk.Confirm route completion, number of returns, return documentation, and final return disposition.Manage driver call-outs and coverage needs by identifying affected routes, determining available coverage, and notifying the appropriate contacts.
Requirements6 months of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, last-mile delivery, or a related operational role.English proficiency: B2+ preferred.Experience monitoring drivers, routes, shipments, or delivery operations.
