SummaryWe are looking for a Driver Operations Specialist to join our team in the Dominican Republic. In this role, you will own driver acquisition strategy for your market, working closely with regional leadership to design, execute, and iterate on initiatives that grow and activate our driver base. You'll partner cross-functionally with business development, marketing, and marketplace efficiency teams, and will be expected to operate with strong ownership, proactive communication, and the ability to bring solutions (not just problems) to your leaders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early-to-mid career looking to grow within a fast-scaling, multinational operation. Please submit your resume in English. Otherwise, your application will be dismissed.
ResponsibilitiesDrive strategy: Design and implement strategies to attract, activate, and retain drivers through effective acquisition channels, tools, and team management.Analyze regional and market trends: Use reporting tools provided, as well as study socio-economic landscapes and user behavior across specific regions, cities, and markets to inform strategy.Manage recruitment budgets and KPIs: Plan and oversee recruitment budgets while ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (driver acquisition, supply hours, and active drivers).Multi-factor market research: Perform immersive studies of new cities or markets, assessing socio-economic conditions through in-depth interviews with users and stakeholders. Conduct interviews and focus groups, form actionable conclusions, and leverage findings to improve products and services.Competitor monitoring: Evaluate competitors in targeted markets to identify gaps and opportunities.Drive cross-functional cooperation: Build strong, collaborative relationships with other departments — business development, marketing, marketplace efficiency, and others — to achieve exceptional results.Own project execution end-to-end: Take initiatives from strategy to execution independently, escalating proactively to your leaders when a decision or blocker is outside your scope, rather than letting issues stall.Support commercial relationship-building: Represent the company in conversations with external partners (suppliers, promoters, potential B2B partners) with the judgment and professionalism expected in a multinational environment.
RequirementsFluent English required (written and verbal); Spanish fluency also required given the market.2-3 years of experience in business operations, expansion, launch, or similar commercial/operational roles. Experience in Ride-Hailing, Delivery, e-commerce, FMCG/consumer goods, or other high-impact multinational industries is highly preferred.Strong communication skills are the single most important requirement for this role — including the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (department lead and country lead) and adapt communication style accordingly.Demonstrated proactivity and ownership: a track record of solving problems independently and escalating appropriately, rather than letting issues sit unresolved.Knowledge of analytical tools: Tableau, Google services, and other BI tools.Strong understanding of the sales funnel and how it applies to driver acquisition.Comfortable operating with limited structure, and able to build process and structure where none exists. Background in industrial engineering, business administration, commercial studies, marketing (operational/commercial marketing, not creative/digital design), or related fields preferred. Backgrounds in systems engineering, civil engineering, mechatronics, or chemistry are not a fit for this role.Knowledge of local transportation regulations and market trends is a plus.Attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.
We offerCompetitive compensation package Full time, long-term employmentEmbrace the opportunity to make an impact in a pivotal branch within the region, tackling significant business challenges while unlocking great potential for growth and impact.Opportunity for advancement and upward mobility within the organization, allowing for increased levels of responsibility and growth within the company.
