Driver Recruiter

Job Overview:
As a Driver Recruiter, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified drivers or Owner Operators to support our transportation operations. This role requires strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for building relationships to ensure a steady pipeline of professional drivers who align with our company values and goals. Given the high demand for drivers, it’s essential that the person focuses on meeting the growing needs of the company by consistently sourcing and recruiting qualified drivers.
Responsibilities:
-Work closely with operations to identify staffing needs, understand driver requirements, and ensure alignment with company goals. -Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, and other event venues. -Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and retention rates. Use data to refine recruitment strategies and achieve continuous improvement. -Ensure all hiring processes adhere to federal, state, and company regulations, including safety standards and DOT requirements. -Review applications, conduct interviews, and assess candidate qualifications to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company standards. -Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure updated information on the interview process status. -Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (i.e. benefits, compensation, non-competition agreements, etc.).
Required Skills and Experience:
-Bilingual – English & Spanish -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). -Proven experience in driver recruitment or a related role in the transportation or logistics industry. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and industry contacts.-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. -Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
