About the role
As a Driver Recruiter at FST Logistics & Transportation, you will identify, attract, and hire qualified drivers or Owner Operators to support transportation operations. The role focuses on building relationships and maintaining a steady pipeline of professional drivers who align with company values and goals.
Consistently sourcing and recruiting qualified drivers is essential to meeting the company’s growing needs.
Responsibilities
- Work with operations to identify staffing needs, understand driver requirements, and align recruiting with company goals.
- Use traditional and non-traditional resources to attract candidates, including career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, and other event venues.
- Track and report recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and retention rates, and use data to refine strategies and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure hiring processes adhere to federal, state, and company regulations, including safety standards and DOT requirements.
- Review applications, conduct interviews, and assess qualifications for compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to provide updated information on interview process status.
- Communicate employment information when delivering offers, including benefits, compensation, and non-competition agreements.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in driver recruitment or a related role in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and industry contacts.
