Role Description The Dual-Immersion Elementary Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in Heredia. This educator is responsible for planning and delivering standards-based instruction in two languages, integrating content to support literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development for elementary students. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing differentiated lessons, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records aligned with district expectations. The teacher collaborates with colleagues and families, participates in professional development, and contributes to school-wide initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and dual-language proficiency. Additional duties involve classroom management, creating a positive and culturally responsive learning environment, and supporting students’ readiness for future academic and career success.
Qualifications

Strong instructional skills in Teaching and Elementary Education, with experience in dual-immersion or bilingual classrooms.Ability to design standards-based lessons through effective Curriculum Development aligned with district goals.Excellent Communication skills for engaging students, families, and colleagues in a diverse school community.Solid foundation in Education theory and practice, including knowledge of child development and culturally responsive pedagogy.Proficiency in English and the target second language (e.g., Spanish) appropriate for dual-immersion instruction.Valid teaching credential or license for elementary education and any required bilingual or dual-immersion authorization.Demonstrated ability to use instructional technology and assessment tools to support student learning and track progress.Collaborative mindset, strong classroom management skills, and commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning.
