Electro Mechanical Technician

Role Description This full-time Electro Mechanical Technician role at RPE Compresores y Montacargas is a hybrid position based in San José, with some work-from-home flexibility depending on operational needs. The technician will perform routine and specialized maintenance on compressors, forklifts, and related electromechanical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Daily activities include conducting inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing corrective and preventive maintenance, and documenting all work performed. The role involves collaborating with service coordinators and other technicians to plan interventions, support installation and commissioning of equipment, and provide technical input on repair priorities and spare parts. The technician will also follow safety procedures, maintain tools and test equipment in good condition, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for industrial and mobile equipment.Candidates should possess solid experience in Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Electricity, including reading basic electrical diagrams and safely working with electrical components.Candidates should possess the ability to use diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, and measurement instruments relevant to electromechanical systems.Candidates should possess good organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining service records and following work orders accurately.Candidates should possess strong safety awareness, adherence to company procedures, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Technical diploma or certificate in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience in compressors, forklifts, or industrial equipment is an advantage.Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers in a professional manner are beneficial.
