Electro Mechanical Technician

Role Description The Electro Mechanical Technician role at The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa, is a full-time, on-site position based in Cabo Velas. The technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment and systems across the resort, including guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and technical facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, executing corrective repairs, and ensuring electrical and mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently. The role also involves updating maintenance logs, coordinating with other engineering team members, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and responding to service requests in a timely manner to support uninterrupted resort operations. The technician will work closely with supervisors and other departments to prioritize tasks, minimize equipment downtime, and contribute to a safe, comfortable environment for guests and team members.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable operation of electro-mechanical systems.Candidates should possess solid abilities in Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting to quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment failures.Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Electricity, including safe handling of electrical systems, basic wiring, and understanding of electrical safety standards.Technical diploma, certification, or equivalent training in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Experience in hospitality, facilities maintenance, or industrial environments is beneficial, along with familiarity with safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics, maintain accurate records, and use relevant tools, test instruments, and maintenance software.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as resort operations require.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams while upholding inclusive and respectful workplace practices.
