Electronic Automation Technician

The Electronic & Automation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electronic and automated systems within the organization. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports production efficiency, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives through automation technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and maintain electronic equipment and automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panelsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systemsTroubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and automation-related issues in a timely mannerRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsProgram, modify, and debug PLCs and other automation controlsSupport equipment upgrades, modifications, and new system installationsMonitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliabilityEnsure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulationsMaintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentationCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on projects and problem-solving
Required QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field2+ years of experience in industrial electronics or automation (experience level can be adjusted)Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and industrial automationAbility to read and interpret schematics and technical drawingsBasic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
Preferred QualificationsExperience with robotic systems and industrial automation technologiesKnowledge of SCADA systems and HMI configurationFamiliarity with pneumatic and hydraulics systemsExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
