About the role
BCforward is hiring a Registered Nurse Specialty to provide patient-facing care in a clinical setting. The nurse will administer ordered therapies, complete assessments, and follow protocols, standards, and regulations while collaborating with physicians and clinical leadership to deliver safe, timely, and effective care to adult and pediatric populations, including emergency presentations.
The position is a 12-month contract. Work is onsite five days per week at PARQUE IND CARRPR-725 KM0.5 BO LLANOS, Aibonito, Puerto Rico 00705. Monthly schedules will be provided. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours, with potential shift times of 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, and 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, subject to business needs and staffing requirements. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and/or holidays, with flexibility for any assigned shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial assessments and triage, including prioritization and vital signs.
- Administer intravenous, intramuscular, oral, and other medications according to medical orders and protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and response to therapy; evaluate and document outcomes.
- Manage wounds, hemorrhages, fractures, burns, and other emergencies; prepare for and assist with procedures.
- Coordinate transfers as needed and collaborate with specialist physicians.
- Complete admissions as directed and conduct focused physical assessments.
