Engineer - Product

About the role

As a Product Engineer at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, you own engineering product responsibility for a specific product or family of products. You manage engineering activities for product changes associated with customer requests or design optimizations. Product Engineers are experts for one or more products and provide technical support to customers, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage product validation, DFMEA updates, drawing approvals, and specification updates.
• Work with Test and Design Engineers to generate or update product documentation, including standards, DVP, and drawings, and conduct product testing and validation.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to achieve technical and business objectives.
• Coordinate work with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, suppliers, and customers as necessary.
• Work with Design Engineers to plan and generate changes to product drawings and models.
• Work with Test and Corporate Engineers to develop validation plans for product design changes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, including quality and assembly.
