Engineering Manager (Execution & Quality) — Remote, Mexico City
CazVid is hiring a full-time Engineering Manager to improve engineering execution, delivery consistency, and code quality. This remote-eligible role is based in Mexico City, Mexico, and is focused on removing execution friction so engineers can ship reliable work without pulling senior leaders into day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Own
- Keep engineering work moving through incremental, consistent delivery.
- Break initiatives into small, executable stories and surface blockers early.
- Review pull requests promptly for correctness, readability, and maintainability.
- Clarify acceptance criteria and ensure stories meet a clear quality bar before sprint work begins.
- Identify when a proposed solution may not address the underlying problem.
- Balance urgency with sustainable delivery and escalate risks when timelines, requirements, or quality are in conflict.
- Enforce engineering standards, catch obvious architectural anti-patterns, and escalate complex design concerns to senior technical leadership.
- Absorb first-line operational coordination and protect senior leadership’s focus on higher-level work.
Role Scope
This is an execution-focused engineering management role, not a product strategy position. You will not set product direction; you will help ensure requirements are clear and work is ready for engineering execution. When risk or uncertainty exceeds a reasonable threshold, escalate early rather than compensating personally.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
Pay: 65000 per year. This is a full-time, remote-eligible position based in Mexico City, Mexico.
