About the role
BMA Group Global is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead, organize, supervise, and optimize the Estimating Department. The role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and timely delivery in alignment with strategic business objectives.
The Estimating Manager provides leadership, direction, technical support, quality control, and development for the team of estimators and junior estimators. The role requires technical experience and commercial judgment in construction, architectural systems manufacturing, doors, windows, façades, or related systems.
This position does not prepare architectural drawings or shop drawings. It does require reading, interpreting, and validating technical documents, drawings, and specifications, and coordinating with appropriate resources when drafting, engineering, or shop drawing support is needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and organize daily department operations, including priorities, workload distribution, follow-up, and deadlines.
- Oversee the estimating process from the initial document review through preparation, validation, and submission of commercial and project estimates.
- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, technical specifications, schedules, addenda, requests for information (RFIs), contract documents, and other project information to understand project scope accurately.
- Validate and audit estimates prepared by the team.
- Help develop the department into a stronger, more organized, and more strategic function that supports business growth and integration among estimating, sales, operations, and project management.
