O.L.A. Immigration LLC is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and experienced U.S. Immigration Paralegal to join our team.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of direct, hands-on experience handling U.S. immigration cases. General administrative or legal experience without substantial immigration casework will not meet this requirement.
Key Responsibilities• Prepare and review USCIS and EOIR forms and supporting documents• Draft cover letters, affidavits, declarations, exhibit lists, and client correspondence• Compile complete and organized immigration filing packets• Identify missing information, discrepancies, evidentiary issues, and upcoming deadlines• Communicate with clients to obtain documents and clarify case information• Maintain accurate case notes, task updates, deadlines, and time entries• Manage multiple assignments independently while meeting strict deadlines• Follow attorney and firm-specific procedures, templates, and quality-control standards
Required Qualifications• At least three years of direct U.S. immigration paralegal experience• Strong knowledge of USCIS forms, procedures, and filing requirements• Ability to prepare complete immigration cases with limited supervision• Excellent written English and professional communication skills• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage deadlines• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, and case-management software• Reliable internet connection and availability during assigned working hours• Ability to accept feedback, make corrections promptly, and take ownership of assignments
Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in several of the following areas are strongly preferred:• Family-based petitions and adjustment of status• Consular processing and NVC cases• I-751 petitions and waivers• VAWA, U visas, and T visas• Asylum and removal defense• I-601, I-601A, and I-212 waivers• Naturalization and citizenship matters• EOIR filings and motions• Legal declarations, briefs, and complex evidence organizationProfessional proficiency in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred.To apply, please submit your résumé along with a brief description of the immigration cases and forms you can prepare independently.
