About the role
Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to work with one of its clients in the Carolina area.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance and construction project activities to meet deadlines.
- Discuss and resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals.
- Prepare budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports, ensuring compliance with assigned OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Inspect or review projects for compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations, quality control, and progress.
- Develop and implement quality control and maintenance programs.
- Supervise maintenance, construction, contractor, or related workers, and determine labor requirements for dispatching maintenance workers to construction sites.
- Monitor work orders, requests, and inspection reports, ensuring they are properly developed, documented, and processed on time using the CMMS platform.
- Investigate customer or public complaints, determine the nature and extent of problems, and promote a customer service culture among employees.
- Prepare contracts, maintenance plans, and requests for proposals, or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
- Estimate labor, material, and construction costs for budget preparation and evaluation of contractor proposals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Perform preventive facility walkthroughs and follow up on maintenance and pending repairs.
- Participate in meetings, orientations, and staff meetings to discuss ongoing issues and projects.
