Position SummaryThe Finance Director will lead the financial operations and reporting functions of a complex, multi-entity organization within the logistics industry. This position will oversee financial reporting, consolidations, intercompany transactions, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls while providing financial guidance to executive leadership.The role requires strong experience working within complex corporate structures, including multiple entities and intercompany relationships, as well as exposure to mergers and acquisitions and private equity environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple entities.Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Manage consolidated financial reporting across multiple legal entities and business operations.Oversee intercompany accounting, including reconciliations, eliminations, allocations, settlements, and resolution of discrepancies.Review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and financial performance across business units.Develop financial forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting to support business decisions.Monitor cash flow, working capital, liquidity, and overall financial performance.Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis and recommendations related to business performance, investments, growth initiatives, and operational decisions.Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including financial due diligence, financial analysis, transaction support, and post-acquisition integration.Support financial requirements and reporting associated with private equity ownership and other key stakeholders.Evaluate financial performance, profitability, costs, and key performance indicators across business units and operations.Establish and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, procedures, and reporting standards.Coordinate annual audits, tax requirements, and other financial or regulatory reporting activities.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and systems across the organization.Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Tax, Treasury, and other business functions to ensure alignment of financial information and business objectives.Lead and develop the Finance and Accounting team and provide oversight of day-to-day financial operations.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance, including significant experience in financial leadership.Previous experience in a Finance Director, Controller, Senior Controller, or comparable senior-level financial role.Strong experience working within complex, multi-entity organizations.Demonstrated experience with intercompany accounting, reconciliations, eliminations, and consolidated financial reporting.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, financial integrations, or transaction-related activities.Experience within a private equity-backed organization or working with private equity stakeholders strongly preferred.Experience with international, multi-location, logistics, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, or similarly complex operations preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
