Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Finance Director Operating Center in Guatemala, you will be responsible for a team of roughly 100 employees supporting F&A activities for the Americas, including Settlement Operations, Procurement, Digital Collections, FP&A, etc.
You would be responsible for below
Lead and oversee all Finance & Accounting shared services operations, including Settlement Operations, Procurement, Digital Collections, FP&A, and other centralized finance processes.Drive process standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement across functions to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and cost effectiveness.Establish and manage service delivery performance, including KPIs, SLAs, productivity metrics, customer satisfaction measures, and operational scorecards.Ensure a strong internal control environment, maintaining compliance with SOX, IFRS/GAAP, corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.Lead finance transformation initiatives, leveraging automation, AI, robotics, workflow technologies, and digital tools to improve process effectiveness and reduce manual effort.Partner closely with Corporate Finance, Business Units, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, and Controllership teams to deliver high-quality financial services and support business objectives.Develop and execute shared services strategy and operating model enhancements, including organizational design, location strategy, capacity planning, and service expansion opportunities.Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, talent development, and operational excellence.Own financial and operational performance of the shared services organization, including budget management, resource optimization, productivity improvements, and value realization initiatives.Serve as a trusted advisor to CFO leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and governance reporting on operational performance, transformation progress, risks, and opportunities.
Role Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including leadership roles in a F&A Financial Shared Service Center.ACCA / CPA certification is a big plus.Proven experience working in multinational companies with complex operational structures.Strong knowledge of settlement and accounting systems, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.Functional Knowledge of ERP’s and other ancillary applications.Proven track record of complex problem solving and decision-making ability. Ability to build and enforce programs and policies with the intent of meeting local regulatory requirements and global minimum standards. Strong analytical skills.Experience working across countries and cultures, as well being able to influence and negotiate in motivating for change.Must have experience communicating and interacting with vendors and C-Suite.
