Finance Manager

About the roleWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Manager to lead and develop our financial operations in Argentina. The role will establish robust local processes and controls, ensure tax and statutory compliance, and provide timely financial insight to support business decisions.The ideal candidate combines strong accounting, treasury and tax expertise with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multicultural and evolving environment.Key responsibilitiesLead local accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning and reporting activities.Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings, reconciliations and statutory reporting.Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections and financial analyses.Monitor liquidity, working capital, payments, collections, banking relationships and funding requirements.Develop and maintain financial policies, internal controls and approval processes aligned with local and global standards.Support the implementation and effective use of SAP or other ERP and financial systems.Coordinate with local management, regional and global Finance teams, external auditors, banks and professional advisers.Provide financial recommendations and business partnering support for commercial and operational decisions.Lead, support and develop the local Finance team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day execution.Tax responsibilitiesOwn local tax compliance and ensure the accurate and timely preparation, review and filing of national, provincial and municipal tax returns and payments.Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, turnover tax, withholding and collection regimes, payroll-related taxes and other applicable obligations in Argentina.Manage tax planning, tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and tax reporting in coordination with regional and global Finance teams.Monitor changes in Argentine tax legislation, assess their financial and operational impact, and recommend appropriate actions.Coordinate responses to tax audits, inspections and information requests from tax authorities, ensuring complete supporting documentation.Manage relationships with external tax advisers and validate the quality, accuracy and timeliness of their deliverables.Support transfer pricing compliance and documentation, intercompany transactions and cross-border tax matters.Identify tax risks and opportunities, strengthen tax controls and ensure proper documentation of tax positions.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. A Certified Public Accountant qualification is strongly preferred.At least 7 years of relevant Finance experience, including leadership or coordination responsibilities.Strong knowledge of Argentine accounting standards, corporate taxation, treasury, budgeting and financial reporting.Demonstrated experience managing tax compliance, tax audits and external advisers in Argentina.Previous experience in the automotive industry, import operations or a multinational company is highly desirable.Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system and advanced Excel skills.Advanced English for daily communication with international teams.Strong analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work autonomously and balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution.Preferred qualificationsExperience establishing Finance and Tax processes for a newly created legal entity.Knowledge of the automotive sector, import activities and related tax implications.Mandarin Chinese would be considered an advantage.
