JOB PURPOSE: The finance executive plays a crucial role in supporting the finance team by assisting with various financial tasks. This position provides an opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience in accounting principles, financial analysis, and recordkeeping. The finance executive works under the supervision of senior financial managers, contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Finance department.
Job Responsibilities: Financial Record keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll. Ensure proper documentation and coding of financial transactions. Bookkeeping: Enter and reconcile financial data, including invoices, receipts, and expenses, into accounting software. Assist in reconciling bank statements. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Help process vendor invoices, track payments, and manage accounts payable. Assist with customer invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Financial Reporting: Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in generating regular financial reports and contribute to the identification of key performance indicators. Financial Analysis: Contribute to financial analysis tasks, such as analysing variances between actual results and budgeted amounts. Assist in preparing financial models or reports to support decision-making processes. Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing documents, organizing financial records, and maintaining data accuracy. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members across departments, such as finance, operations, and support, to obtain necessary information and ensure accurate financial data. Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Job Requirements: Excellent English communication is a must (both written and verbal) At least 2 years of experience in similar role. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications are advantageous. Understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Familiarity with financial software and systems, such as QuickBooks or other accounting software and spreadsheets. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping. Proficient in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new concepts quickly. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ethical conduct and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling financial information. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking directions from senior accountants or financial managers.
