Finance Transition Lead General Ledger

About the role

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a finance professional to lead the transition of multiple Waygate Technologies entities into its Global Business Services (GBS) organization. The role combines finance transition leadership with future responsibility for leading the General Ledger Accounting Operations team.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance transitions from planning through knowledge transfer, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Coordinate process documentation, activity splits, workflows, and issue tracking.
• Ensure operational readiness, including SAP access, banking setup, tools, and data migration.
• Work with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Tax, and local entities to support business continuity and handover to GBS operations.
• After the transition, lead the General Ledger / Accounting Operations team within GBS and manage direct reports.
• Own month-end close and reporting quality; drive process standardization, controls, and continuous improvement.
• Support audit readiness and statutory compliance coordination.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in Finance.
• Strong SAP experience and experience with HFM / OneStream, including GL, month-end close, and transactions.
• Solid Accounting / General Ledger background in an SSC / GBS environment.
• Proven experience in finance transitions into shared services.
• Hands-on exposure to US-based entities in a multi-country environment.
