Financial Statutory Reporting Accountant Colombia

About the role

At CSL, the Financial & Statutory Reporting Accountant Colombia reports to the Manager, Financial Accountant and supports the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and statutory reporting for the Colombian entity. The role supports month-end close, statutory compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements in alignment with corporate policies, IFRS standards, and local regulations.

The role requires three days of onsite work weekly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver assigned accounting and close activities in accordance with close calendars, company policy, and local statutory requirements.
• Prepare standard journals and balance sheet reconciliations, review business journals, and escalate complex or non-standard items as required.
• Manage local electronic interfaces, if applicable, and related activities, including daily management of sales and vendor invoices, process-flow issues, and necessary enhancements and projects.
• Drive implementation and operation of the internal financial controls framework.
• Support internal audit activities and implementation of identified remediations.
• Coordinate entity-level external audit activities, provide requested documentation on time, track audit requests, and escalate significant judgment areas, disagreements, or delays to the Accounting to Report Manager in line with governance protocols.
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to support entity-level reporting and close activities, identify areas requiring interpretation or judgment, and escalate technical conclusions for review and approval where appropriate.
