About the role
BT Group is seeking a Financial Tax Analyst to lead tax activities for Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Costa Rica, while supporting Finance activities including monthly and annual closing, review of income, costs and margin, and journal processing.
The role co-defines and leads the tax strategy for the Americas, partnering with Regional Sales and Finance leadership to align with business objectives while optimizing tax efficiency and compliance. It ensures tax governance, reporting and regulatory compliance, supports tax risk management, and promotes consistent tax practices across Country Finance teams, global tax functions, business units and shared service centers (GBS/GFSS).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax calculations and annual corporate tax returns, supporting their accuracy and completeness upon submission and payment.
- Research and analyze tax implications of legislative changes, business decisions and activities, and reflect them in tax returns and other required documents.
- Prepare transfer pricing supporting documents to comply with tax requirements.
- Support relationships with external tax authorities and advisers, and assist independent auditors and the financial control team with tax and financial audits.
- Support tax activities in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Support monthly and annual closing, review income, costs and margin, and process journals.
- Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks while supporting accurate, timely tax reporting, statutory filings and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate with Country Finance teams, global tax functions, business units and shared service centers to promote standardization, innovation and best practices.
