Finishing Expert

About the role

SaarGummi Group is looking for a skilled and experienced Finishing Expert with hands-on experience in EPDM and TP injection and cutting processes. The role involves operating, optimizing, and troubleshooting finishing equipment and processes to support efficient, high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and ensure compliance with finishing standards.
• Find solutions to meet customer requirements, focusing on high efficiency, cost reduction, and standards creation and implementation.
• Optimize current solutions by proposing modifications.
• Design and analyze products and tools for process feasibility and risk management.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust settings to optimize quality and productivity.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during finishing processes.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams on continuous improvement and process innovation.
• Create equipment technical specifications and support new project development related to finishing activities.
• Train plant teams on finishing processes.
• Manage supplier and customer communications in cooperation with program management.
• Support North Americas plants with problem solving and cooperate with plant technical teams and technical managers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of practical experience in finishing technologies and new project development.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in project management, including project responsibility.
• Working knowledge of CAD software for checking and confirming tool and product feasibility.
• Communicative level of English, spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently and reliably, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally based on project or internal customer needs.
