About the role
Confidential is seeking a Founding Academic Director to help build Fernspring Forest School, a new school opening in September 2026. The school brings together the Forest School philosophy, Expeditionary Learning, project-based learning, mixed-age classrooms, craftsmanship, and authentic experiences in nature.
The role will shape and lead the school’s academic vision. Fernspring’s campus is located in the forests of Guadalajara, where nature is the primary classroom and learning takes place through projects, expeditions, and real-world experiences.
Fernspring is collaborating with the Center for Artistry and Scholarship and aims to begin the NEASC accreditation process after its first year of operation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an educational model inspired by Expeditionary Learning and progressive education.
