Role Description This is a full-time remote role based in Argentina for Freelance Medical and Legal Interpreters (Spanish). The interpreter will provide real-time Spanish–English interpretation for medical and legal consultations, hearings, interviews, and related professional settings, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication. Day-to-day tasks include conducting remote interpreting sessions via phone or video, preparing by reviewing relevant terminology or documentation, and maintaining strict confidentiality and impartiality. The role involves accurately conveying spoken information between parties, managing simultaneous or consecutive interpretation as required, and documenting session details when needed. Interpreters will collaborate with coordination teams, adhere to professional codes of ethics, and ensure consistent service quality for clients in international environments.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Medical Interpretation and knowledge of Medical Terminology, with the ability to accurately convey complex healthcare information between Spanish and English.Demonstrated competence in Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpretation, including experience handling high-pressure or time-sensitive legal and medical settings.Proficiency in Translation for related documentation and support materials when required, ensuring accuracy and clarity in both languages.Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and excellent command of English, with clear, professional communication skills.Prior experience in medical and/or legal interpreting, preferably in remote or contact-center environments.Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and professional ethics in medical and legal contexts.Reliable high-speed internet connection, appropriate headset, and a quiet workspace suitable for remote interpreting.Relevant certification or training in interpretation or translation, or a related field (e.g., linguistics, communication, law, or healthcare), is highly beneficial.Ability to work full-time on a fixed or rotating schedule, manage multiple sessions, and maintain punctuality and responsiveness.
