Freight Forwarder

The Freight Forwarder is responsible for coordinating ocean and air import and export shipments from booking through final delivery. This role works closely with customers, ocean and air carriers, customs brokers, ground transportation providers, overseas partners, and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently and comply with applicable international trade requirements.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate ocean and air import and export shipments from booking through final delivery. Arrange cargo bookings, vessel and flight schedules, pickup, ground transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery. Communicate with customers, carriers, customs brokers, vendors, overseas agents, and internal teams throughout the shipment lifecycle. Prepare and review BOL’s, air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, import/export declarations, and other required documentation. Ensure shipment documentation and processes comply with regulatory, carrier, and customer requirements. Track and monitor shipments, provide proactive status updates, and communicate potential delays. Identify and resolve shipment issues involving documentation, customs clearance, scheduling, capacity, or delivery. Obtain and review carrier and vendor rates to support accurate quoting and cost-effective routing decisions. Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, tracking information, status updates, and financial data in company systems.
Skills & Knowledge:
B2 High English Level3-7 years of international logistics or freight-forwarding experience required. Experience coordinating ocean and air import and export shipments from booking through delivery. Experience working with ocean carriers, airlines, customs brokers, ground transportation providers, and overseas agents. Customer service experience within transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding.
