About the RoleAs a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will join an established engineering group responsible for driving technical innovation within the safety and monitoring industry. You will have ownership over the development of high-impact APIs, web services, and applications that power critical infrastructure. This role involves solving complex technical problems, mentoring junior developers, and integrating emerging AI technologies into core products. You will play a key part in maintaining a service-oriented architecture that ensures the continuous delivery of life-safety services while contributing to the company's long-term technical growth and scalability.
What You'll DoDevelop and maintain scalable APIs and web services that serve as the primary engine for business operations.Build and optimize web and mobile applications to solve technical challenges and improve user experience across the product suite.Write maintainable, well-documented, and unit-tested code within an Agile development environment to ensure high software quality.Integrate Large Language Model (LLM) APIs and AI-powered features into products to enhance security monitoring workflows and internal tooling.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and QA, to deliver continuous value to end users.Coach and mentor fellow developers through code reviews and leadership by example to foster technical growth.Evaluate and prototype AI-augmented pipelines for tasks such as anomaly detection, summarization, and data classification.
What You Bring4+ years of experience in full-stack software development.Proficiency in Python and PHP.Professional experience with MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and integrating REST and SOAP APIs.Expertise in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with backend frameworks such as Flask or CodeIgniter.Familiarity with prompt engineering and integrating AI APIs into backend services.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Nice to HavesExperience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.Familiarity with cloud technologies, specifically AWS, and containerization via Docker or Kubernetes.Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and vector databases.Experience using AI coding assistants and integrating AI tools into CI/CD workflows.Experience working with collocated and remote development teams.
Compensation & BenefitsFull-time contract position.Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET.Emphasis on maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
