Overview of the role
The Full-stack Python AI Engineer will own features end to end in an enterprise AI assistant serving thousands of employees, spanning agent and skill integrations, RAG pipelines, the API services behind them, and the interface built on top. The work leans backend, with regular frontend involvement, validating agent behavior against evaluation sets rather than spot checks.
Key responsibilities
- Owning features end to end, including agent and skill integrations, RAG pipelines, and supporting API services.- Building and maintaining frontend interfaces within an established design system.- Validating agent behavior against evaluation sets rather than relying on spot checks.- Balancing work across the stack, with a backend lean of roughly 70/30.
Requirements
- Python: 5+ years of hands-on experience, 8+ years for lead-level scope.- LLM Integration: Production experience with RAG pipelines using LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.- React and TypeScript: Working proficiency.- AWS: Working experience with the platform.- Availability: Must be available to work PST hours.- Language Proficiency: Advanced level of English.
Additional skills preferred
- LLM Evaluation: Experience with LangSmith, LLM-as-judge, offline evals, or golden datasets.- Next.js: Working experience with the framework.- Vector Search: Background with embedding strategy.- Containers and Microservices: Experience with these technologies.- Leadership: Prior experience leading a pod or owning a component end to end.
