Functional Business Analyst Technology Projects

Important NoteThis position is focused on business requirements management, process analysis, solution validation, and technology project delivery. It is not a Financial Analyst, Accounting, or Corporate Finance role.
ResponsibilitiesLead requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders to identify and document business needs.Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.Gather, document, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements.Create detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.Support solution design by ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.Develop test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring business needs are met before deployment.Track and manage defects, issues, and change requests during testing and implementation phases.Facilitate workshops, process walkthroughs, and stakeholder meetings.Support change management, training activities, and post-implementation stabilization.Monitor project progress and help identify risks, dependencies, and potential gaps.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role in technology projects.Proven experience in requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and functional documentation.Experience participating in software implementation, system enhancement, ERP, or digital transformation projects.Hands-on experience coordinating and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Experience creating:Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)Functional RequirementsUser StoriesProcess Maps and WorkflowsTest Cases and Acceptance CriteriaExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or similar solutions.Knowledge of Agile frameworks, Scrum, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.Experience supporting system integrations and business process automation initiatives.Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
