General Foreman

About the role

International Marine Management (IMM) is seeking a General Foreman for its full-time marine shipbuilding role in San Juan, PR. The role oversees the General Mechanic, Electrical, Paint, and Metal Work departments to support the efficient, high-quality execution of ship refit and repair projects.

International Marine Management provides services to the marine industry in the Caribbean and the USA. Its San Juan project involves renovating and operating the shipyard on Quay 15 & 16, with a 200-foot floating dock and a 680-foot dry dock. The yard repairs and maintains superyachts, mega yachts, and workboats, with an emphasis on careening, painting operations, metalwork, and propulsion unit and auxiliary maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate departments to meet industry standards and project deadlines.
• Oversee daily operations, assign tasks, and monitor progress on refit and repair projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all work areas.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients on repairs and modifications.
• Review work schedules, resource allocations, and material needs across departments.
• Conduct inspections and quality control assessments to maintain high workmanship standards.
• Train and mentor team members.
