Geriatric Home Care Nurse in Heredia, Costa Rica

Enfermería Geriátrica Integral is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Home Care Nurse to provide personalized, high-quality care to elderly patients in Heredia, Costa Rica. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough health assessments to identify medical and emotional needs of geriatric patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while ensuring compliance with safety and health standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored care plans for each patient. Monitor patient progress and document changes, promptly communicating concerns to healthcare providers. Offer emotional support and health education to patients and their families to promote self-care and empowerment. Coordinate with physical therapists, social workers, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive care. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in geriatric nursing. Required and Preferred Qualifications Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license; certifications in geriatric care are highly preferred. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, especially in home care or elderly patient care. Strong knowledge of medical equipment and home care technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
