The German Language Teacher plans and delivers German language lessons and contributes to an inclusive, student-centered culture that respects diverse learning needs and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop instructional materials and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and school initiatives.
• Create a positive classroom environment, manage classroom behavior, and communicate with parents and guardians about student development.
• Participate in school events, professional development activities, and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in German and the ability to teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking across appropriate grade levels.
• Experience in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and assessment methods aligned with modern language teaching practices.
• Classroom management, student engagement, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches for varied learning styles and abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams.
• A bachelor’s degree in German, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. Teaching certification or relevant pedagogical training is an advantage.
• Prior experience as a language teacher.
