The TeamDeloitte Greenhouse is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations Senior Analyst to join our team that supports core finance, reporting, and operations. This role is focused on ensuring that financial transactions, reconciliations, approvals, master data, and close activities are accurate, timely, and in accordance with established practices.
A successful candidate will bring practical accounting knowledge, strong data-entry skills, sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to coordinate effectively across finance and leadership teams. In addition, the candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing large volumes of data, and committed to high-quality standards.
Work you’ll do:
Partner with accounting, controllership, and offshore teams to manage month-end close activities including preparing, validating, submitting, and tracking journal entries.Maintain accurate close documentation and provide status updates on open items, dependencies, and escalations.Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, unsupported balances, and process exceptions in accordance with established procedures and close timelines.Manage vendor activities, including invoice processing and vendor change requests, and escalate issues as needed.Follow and maintain up-to-date SOPs and recommend practical process improvements, including automation opportunities, where appropriate.Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for assigned finance and operational processes by responding to ad hoc requests, escalating issues proactively, and ensuring data integrity, operational continuity, and compliance.

Ability to follow established processes precisely while recognizing and escalating exceptions.Ability to communicate effectively with accounting professionals, operational teams, vendors, and senior leaders.Self-starter who can work independently, operate effectively in ambiguity, and proactively identify needed actions.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.3+ years of relevant experience in accounting operations, finance operations, controllership, accounts payable, or related function.Practical knowledge of month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.Experience with accounts payable, vendor management, and invoice processing.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with and manipulate large data sets.Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.Ability to travel as needed.Must be legally authorized to work in Costa Rica without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting finance operations within professional services, shared services, or a matrixed organization.Project management experience.Experience supporting internal control reviews or finance compliance activities.
