Guest Services Officer

About the role

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Guest Services Officer to deliver “the Wow” and provide exemplary problem resolution to guests onboard its ships at sea. The role makes a first impression for the brand and its guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Use a positive, clear speaking voice and take time to understand requests in detail.
• Work as a focused performer in a team of empowered Guest Services professionals to provide focused and extraordinary customer service.
• Provide cash and guest account services at the Guest Services desk, including accepting cash payments, cashing personal or Traveler’s checks, and exchanging foreign currencies.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a customer contact position within the hotel, cruise, or related industry.
• At least one year of cash handling experience and an understanding of US currency and exchange rates.
• Customer service skills to interact with guests in a considerate, professional, and positive manner, showing concern and listening actively.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment, including telephones, computers, and copy machines.
• Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests. Additional language ability is required; the source lists French and Italian.
