About the role

Silversea seeks a Hotel Director to oversee all aspects of hotel operations and support an efficient, welcoming guest service experience.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for hotel operations to support optimum guest satisfaction, welcoming and efficient guest service, and crew friendliness.
• Embrace and aspire to the Forbes 5 star standard.
• Ensure crew are fully aware of Forbes standard requirements and ship ready for possible inspection.
• Resolve challenges and issues onboard.
• Lead powerful and inspiring morning meetings.
• Mentor and support heads of departments, identify training needs, and support talent development.
• Participate in weekly public health inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Requirements

• Proven 5* luxury experience, with 6-8 years of professional experience in luxury hotel operations, luxury atmosphere and service culture, including multi-outlet operations.
• At least 5 years at a management level.
• Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and exceptional focus on the guest experience.
• Previous cruise line experience is an advantage; experience in luxury hospitality or other service-driven industries is also considered.
• Fluent English, verbal and written. Conversational skills in additional languages are an asset.
